Dear reader/writer of this article,

We are very gratefull for the attention that is given to our research here, but want to point out some major errors in order to avoid confusion about our latest achievement.

1. "...BASF and Weyerhaeuser, Holst achieved a 64 bit 13.56 MHz printed tag."
=> We did not report a "printed" tag

2. "The fabrication of dual-gate organic thin-film transistors using plasma-enhanced atomic layer deposited 150 nm thick Al2O3 and 300 nm thick parylene as gate dielectrics and pentacene as a semiconductor. The threshold voltage (Vth) is changed from 14.5 to –1.5 V when the voltage bias of the top-gate electrode is changed from –10 to 20 V. The voltage transfer characteristics of an inverter with a dual-gate driver transistor and a single-gate load transistor, specifically, swing range and inversion voltage, have been artificially controlled by changing the voltage bias of the top-gate electrode."
=> This entire paragraph has nothing to do with our RFID result. Maybe the author copied it by mistake from another topic?

For your reference: the original press release can be found on our website (www.holstcentre.com).

Thanks again for the attention.

Victor,

Do you think it might be because you live in a communist state that filters all the domestic news ?

Or maybe it's because all the counterfeit drugs and lead laced toys are exported ?

Made in China products have a controversial quality in the world, however here in China all the products people use daily are of good quality, I never heard of any cases of poisoning.

I'm not sure I understand.

First Lilly says they are spending $1 million a day to fight fake drugs.

Than a VP, Robert Luginbill, submits a letter to California on January 9, 2008 asking that California 'delay' the anti-counterfeit law to January 2011.

But when you read his letter he says, " Eli Lilly and Company will be in a position to provide manufacturer-initiated electronic pedigrees for all our products by January 1, 2009..."

That's great. But why attach documents from "2000", and why ask for a delay in combating fake drugs to January 2011 if Lilly is going to be ready January 2009 ?

Do the executives at Lilly speak to each other ?

As the director of Novus Medical Detox, I daily see the ravages of prescription drug addiction. Ironically, if we import drugs and pay much less but do not recognize that we have an epidemic that is daily killing more people than street drugs, we are compounding the problem not helping solve it.

We have to start looking at finding causes of illness and not just treat the symptoms with more drugs. Paying less for drugs looks very attractive if you are paying for many drugs but finding alternatives to these prescription drugs is much better.

The reality is that there are a number of viable technologies that allow manufacturers to track their products from the manufacturing line to the homes of consumers (with end-user validation capabilities). Companies like Sxxxxx Sxxxxxxxx (www.sxxxxxxxxxx.com) and Inovatum (www.xxxxxxx.com) produce pharmaceutical anti-counterfeiting systems that, if employed, provide assurances to consumers that the product that left the manufacturing facility is the same product that is in their homes for consumption. California has done a great job with moving towards mandating e-pedigree tracking, etc., but more pharmaceutical companies should be voluntarily engaging this problem for the health and well being of their consumers.
